A couple of us had an excellent ride yesterday (Bombay, Miranda, Kopu, Ngatea, Paeroa, Te Aroha, Okororie, Tahuna, Mercer, home) and we did a pretty good clip for all of it. Went past no less than 3 HP cars at............interesting...... speeds. All 3 were already occupied.

often 'tis better to be lucky than good.
I think I heard you go past my house... "that aren't already busy" isn't strictly true... When I got pulled up back on my Lplates I was stopped talking to an officer and just as he started looking over the bike some boy racer started doing burnouts just around the block so he just jumped in his car and hauled ass that way

Those who have ridden with me know I am happy to watch them dissapear into the distance if I am uncomfortable with their pace (which happens often).
Extremely rare that I see my indicated speed above 120 though I have been known to occaisonally exceed 100km/hr.
There has been times I have told myself off for going at a speed I think was probably too fast for the conditions.

What's more fun, doing 100 on a K9 750, or zero for 6 months because you lost your licence?

Pretty easy. If you like having a licence then best you do what is required to keep it.

now you are talking about on track, thats easy.
we can all say how fast we went here or there and on what track but the thread is about on the speed you sit at on the road.

One is slightly lucky that yesterday Leo wasn't staked out on the East West Access Road. The difference between highest recorded speed on the GPS and on the multi-display is exactly 6%, just as it is at other recorded speeds.

Thank you Mr Moto. Your Viper jacket is considerably more aerodynamic than is my winter Teknic.

2 - up, (usually the wife) - 110, on my own, a bit quicker, depending on conditions. But never enough to blow the licence.
