    360 bar-spins anyone?

Look, then look again at this Marzocchi MX Freestyle fork system recently launched at the Milan show. Either the world's gone mad or it's just those crazy freestyle boys up to their usual tricks. Fortunately (for us who stand behind fences and watch) it's the latter. Marzocchi has developed the first front fork in the world designed to make a complete 360° bar spin.

You'd be excused for thinking this is just another one of those off-the-wall design solutions dreamt up by some bloke with a lathe and a few spare parts (two wheel drive bikes anyone?). But this ain't know a half-baked idea. Marzocchi has developed the fork, not only to be the first major company putting the system in to production, but to meet rider demands and further the sport as well (after all, surely there's only so much back flipping you can stomach).

It's the inevitable result of crossovers in the 'extreme sports' world - a place where bar-spinning on BMXs and mountain bikes happens all the time. The closed cartridge hydraulic fork is compression and rebound adjustable with 170mm of travel, as per usual.
The press release we received for the forks carried a warning; "This front fork is only for freestyle use". We suggest you take note. Availability TBC.
