A t-shirt and shorts may look cooler, but I quite like my skin where it is. I'm not sure if I would buy that exact one, but I don't see anything gay about protecting yourself as best as you can.

Am I correct in assuming that to be in a situation where one needs a garment to withstand a lot of slide seconds one would be going like a bat out of hell in the first place? Personally I don't care what other people wear or don't wear - just interested in the reasons. Anyone got a kph to slide seconds required ratio and how many more slide seconds leather will give you over cordura?

Would think there would be the same ammount of slide seconds to the fence/powerpole/ditch no matter what colour your leathers are. Maybe red goes faster so the crash is over quicker.

So you mean that just because a person was riding a GN, they must be a crappy rider? I would agree with you if you had said it depends on how fast the bike is, but judging a rider's skill by what he/she rides is a bit prejudiced. I mean, it could even be that his regular bike is in the workshop and the GN is just a loaner.

I have ridden through town on a loaner 50cc scooter in full leathers. Must admit feeling a little self concious at the time.

Normal coloured leathers are about the same price as power-ranger leathers.
