So they're proud of their bikes - you shouldn't have bought a bike if you're not gonna be proud of it.
I have a Ducati hat, a Ducati T shirt and 2 Ducati keyrings. Plus I have a model of a Desmosedici and a Haynes Ducati Supersport service manual.
One day I'll buy a bike....
In space, no one can smell your fart.
HOG have been around for years and have over a million members worldwide. They’re a factory sponsored social group (marketing exercise if you want to be cynical about it) but, most importantly, they raise MILLIONS of dollars for muscular dystrophy. It might not be your thing (it isn’t mine either) but each to their own.
That said, I did meet one HOG ‘cock’ on Saturday. I was stood looking at a particularly showy new Harley when this tool floated by and just said ‘55’. What he meant was that he had $55,000 in his bike. Now there was a f’kin’ tosser worth taking the piss out of (but that really wasn’t anything to do with his ‘HOGyness’ – he was just a prick).
I get people ooohing and aaaahing over my bike and they always ask "How much is it worth?" when I say about $5,000 on a good day their jaws always drop. Funny.

McJim -Y' mean they dont immediatly realise you're a tight arse Scotsman?
Put more emphasis on the accent man! Oots!
"Not one day that we are here on this earth has been promised to us, so make the most of every day as if it was your last, and every breath ,as if it were the same"
So the Christchurch HOG guys have decided to make a patch for their jackets and show proudly that they belong to a specific group. Wow... thats really bad - what next?
Perhaps people over 40 will decide to form a group that only people over 40 can join - and then they will wear patches and badges to show there pride?
Then maybe Boulevard owners will go elitist and buy jackets with boulevard on them?
And yet other Cruiser owners will form a generic Motorcycle Cruiser Group for any brand of cruiser and offer patches, badges, caps and shirts to their members?
This might then take off and what next... gangs might get hold of the idea and start wearing patches and OMG... where will it ever end?
I say good on em for being part of a group they are proud to be members of.

DuuuuuCaaaaaaTiiiiiiiiiiii
STOP PRESS!
A patch on a jacket!
call the cops!
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
Surely you jest - I can kick most Harley's arse .... in my diesel van
But seriously are Harley's about two things; riding an awesome cruiser, and the image;
Just recently while on a blat around the South Island I met a guy on his Harley, nice guy but; he had a 'Harley gang patch' on his jacket, the bandana thing going on, tassels on his jacket and handle bars, studded side saddles and belt, huge as harley belt buckle - the image is as much of it as the riding for most Harley owners isn't it.
Lifes Just one big ride - buckle up or hang on
No more so then any other bike for the average rider I'd hope. We all buy bikes we like to be seen on, Its a fact, otherwise you wouldn't buy the damn thing.
I'd put those trying to live the American dream into another category entirely. And I doubt most HOG members display this extreme/fantasy behaviour.
for some it is all about appearence, but then again the same is said for a lot of sportbike owners, race replicas matching leathers etc.
it shouldn't be about they bike or what ya wear just that ya proud of machine and enjoy the outcomes.
