We used these guys in December and they were great.

We have used some of the others and they were not reliable at 5:00am - ie. we turned up for our early flight and they place was closed, although someone came after repeated calls and we just made our flights. And yes it had been booked and paid for in advance.

Thanks for the suggestions, sadly i was lacking in the required ground clearance to take up slopsters suggestion so went with plan B and aeroparks.

    Parking at Auckland Airport

So I'm off over the ditch for the long weekend.

    Question:
Can I park my bike in the carpark for free?

I've parked there a few times, without charge (mainly because the barrier arm didn't let me get a ticket from the machine), but that was only for about an hour or so while I farewelled people (same people I'm going to see this weekend). Are there any issues with a longer stay?

or ask someone (who lives close to the landing strip) if you can park your bike in their garage and have them drop you off.

    It ain't difficult.

Will it still be there when you get back?

This would be a safer option, thefts from closed garages are less likely than from public car parking areas.

Care using Aeroparks - dodgy -we used in june and car had unexplained extra 31kms on clock. One of the staff presumably took car home or for joy ride. Manager useless at sorting. Will use park Fly who don't take your keys

We use AirNZ every time - the staff are very friendly (at least one of them is a KBer!), they're efficient, they're always waiting for us when we walk out of the terminal after a trip, and they also have a valet service.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Obviously Perth airport needs some competition. The last two times we've been away, it's been $110 for a week! And find your own car when you get back.......

    Motorcycle parking at Auckland Airport?

    Greetings bikers.

One of the wonders of owning a bike, I was told, was that you save on parking fees. I'm endeavouring to demonstrate this magical property of motorcycles by overcoming the most formidable opponent of all - The Auckland Airport!

Anyone know of any places that would offer free parks to motorcycles within walking distance to the domestic terminal? I dont suppose there are any designated motorcycle parks in and near the airport is there?

    Cheers
    Mihir

Just park inside the bloody airport itself.
