Knight DNFd with clutch problems on the BMW in E3 but team mate Juha Salminen did better with 3rd on both days in the E2 class
4stroke, you'll be stoked to hear that Husky's Seb guillaume came first day 1 E3 and 2nd on Day 2 so he's coming 2nd in the championship to Ivan Cervantes on a KTM who came 3rd on day1 and 1st on day2. Knight's coming tenth
In E2 KTM's Johnny Aubert won both days and is leading the championship after winning every round so far. Juha salminen is coming 7th on the beemer
"The presence of David KNIGHT in the Grand Prix of SLOVAKIA is very uncertain… His premature abandonment in Finland on Saturday and his renunciation of the Sunday proves that the divorce is imminent between BMW and KNIGHTER… But the rider of the ISLAND of MAN could very quickly re-appear under other colours in order to try to prove that he is always at the top."
Combine this with the following from his web site & I think Knighter on anything but a BMW & KTM seems certain from now on.
"No, not much happening, i'm just gonna go back to a full standard frame, I prefer that to the new one, Its a bit dissapointing really, two months off and no progress"
cheers Taki... i was thinking about getting round tuit!! that's interesting about knight still struggling with the bike 'cos Juha is doing much better with second on both days. Losing only to the perfect season having, KTM riding Aubert
did you see a certain Mr Brich in the mexico results 10th in E2
Aye, a damn fine result I thought for a first WEC ride, especially when you consider it appeared the track favoured the open class bikes.
Wonder if Birchy is doing the Endurocross in the US at Vegas this weekend, sounds like Whib's / Knighter / Rory Mead are all going to be there ( Knighter is 90% confirmed, just needs a 2/ 250 to get sorted, Yamaha maybe ?? ).

Agree with ya there he can do it on a 450 a lot of riders do & win.
And yea Chris did a whole bunch of WEC rounds way back when Whibley was doing them on his favourite GasGas machines!
That was like 4 years ago.
maybe even longer!! Chris had a Husky WR250 was his favorite bike of all time, they even had a song made up for it..... 450's are good in that sort of stuff its open and the tourque is magic!
Regarding endurocross, Knighter said he wanted a 250/2 for Romaniacs & I jumped to the conclusion he would have the same for Endurocross so my bad there ( he's 90% sure on romaniacs & trying to get a bike for endurocross according to his forum posts anyways ).

Yeah, that's right now I think of it. Think he rode in the British Champs on the Husky and seem to recall that he had a ride lined up for the WEC - but it fell thru?
Where are ya Birchy??
It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.
