Just wait till see is old enough to want her own real bike...

I used to take my daughter riding on the back, when she was 10 I taught her to ride the XT250....now she is about to step up to a SV650K9 (Full faired) Gulp, its a nightmare time for a Dad when that happens....especially if you recall how you rode at that age...

Yeah that's funny I'd be keen on getting them some bikes (well I can say that now without the wife reading this) however when I mentioned it to them they weren't too impressed until the llil one sat on a pw50 & really liked it. Only prob will be getting them in pink.

Katherine has been allowed to ride on the bike since she was six or seven, when she could touch the footpegs (foot flat). Get em while they're young I say. She has her own helmet & jacket, & regularly rides with her mother. Not shy about asking for rides. However not so keen on longer rides, and probably less keen on the KTM seat than the look (no issues with the BMW however).

She is likely to inherit her mothers scooter when Mandy is ready to move on up.

    Cheers, Steve.

My oldest son first came on the road with me 2 weeks after his 5th birthday! before that we were trail riding down the river!! He is now 13 & still loves going riding with mum!! He learned to ride when he was 6!

My youngest has his own bike at dads.. he is 6! although.. he hasn't been riding much over summer, coz he says "the grass is too dry & I can't do skids"..

Mind you.. with a bike nut mother like me.. they don't really stand a chance NOT to be bikers aye!!!

My 2 girls love riding on the back of the bike. Havn't got them keen to ride one yet
My boy started riding at 10 or 11 on an AG100, then Streetstock racing at 13. First rode my 600 race bike at 15. He's 16 now and still hasn't got his bike licence - he reckons road riding will muck up his racing.... Oh to be 16 and have that many choices. Never mind, he still enjoys riding on the back of my bike

OK you two, that's enough of that, I ALMOST had to go get a tissue! If you make me go all soppy I won't be in the right frame of mind to administer tomorrows spankings, let alone electro-shock therapy to my 5 yr old and she must be sorted out now while young before she develops bad habits(like her dad ) or more bad taste!

You have all convinced me - I need to get her a helmet and get her a DR fetish asap!! Thank you friends!

(which would be good as her skinny little bum just makes my hand hurt so the spankings are just annoying for me too! )
    Cheers, Dave

My son and grandson having a last ride on the IT400 before it went to make way for the KLR.
I used to take my son out on my bikes when he was small - now the trend continues.

Put her in front first so she feels a bit more secure with daddy behind her & get her used to the leaning of the bike. Then put her on the back.
