yeah i never had trouble from any other filter oil i used.
used no toil, rock oil , motrex , and now this elf oil but i just cant find any love with this elf so might chuck it and use rock oil again as it was only 2 thirds price of motrex.
sorry for the thread hijack too.

yeh elf changed when the stopped makin it in spray on form it all went to shit hell i get it for free and wont use their air filter oil all ends up sitting at the bottom of the filter. Dont use that shit that caltex use either im sure its made from recycled chewing gum stringy like fuck hopeless to spread then all slowly runs to the bottom.
Best ive found since is motorex spray on works well spary the air box as well help trap the dust before it get to the filter.

i use castrol sprayon filter oil, i find it quite good, only thing is it freezes the filter when you spray it on on a cold morning.

    Oil Dump Update TUSSOCK!

Okay went for another ride and yes again, another red discharge. She's bleeding bad now with smears all over the trailer. So took off chain and front sprocket. Tussock wound tight around shaft. Plenty of it wrapped and twisted so tight it was like hemp rope. Kept pulling it out and out. Once it was all out I leaned bike over and engine oil gushed freely out. Don't know if the 'rope' flogged out the seal or was hiding a faulty seal problem. Anyways, all you Tussock Busterians, it may be prudent to check what's behind your front sprocket.

At least you found it mate and it wasn't a flogged out bearing that stuffed the seal. A new seal because of a bit of tussock sounds like quite a good result compared to what it could have been.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

I got #8 fencing wire around my rear sprocket on the dam buster loop. At first glance it looked just like tussock too.

I'm still pulling bits of tussock out of my radiator. I'm surprised there's any left in Waiouru!
