    Oil Seal update

Okay it was the tussock that flogged out the seal. So got one from Spectrum, cost $10.75, stuffed it up putting it in...the whole collar/o-ring in first then seal over top thing didn't go as smoothly as you'd think...weird system that, then went down to Auckland Bearing Company on Barty's advise and got the same seal there for $4.50! So I got 2 (1x spare) for the price of one!
    Size id/od : 27mmx37mmx7mm for you's information.

Hey Evan, Joan here if you hadn't worked it out. Did you take Tawny for ride at Frosty's? We went to Sandpit on Saturday. I finally got out & did a couple of trails.

Heya J, yep I figured it was you in your pic. Looks like Thunder.
Yep Tawny did quite a few laps riding around with Alex and William. William rides his KX80/(85?) well. Tawny loved it and I spent some time teaching her about different types of corners, when to brake into corners and when to accelerate out. Hey great to hear you ventured out of the learners area. I didn't go riding the Sunday, instead got the kids XR100's ready to sell. Tawny is looking forward to an upgrade into a KX60/(65)

William does ride well aye - he also knows that track inside out which helps. Cool track to learn on. Done the convict 3 or 4 times, plus that part of it that goes from besides the juniors track (didn't do the hill there this time though) & comes out on the road nxt to the other entry to convict. Also took Brooky to the old carpark. Sand is bloody hardwork - but i'm getting better in it slowly. You selling both the XR100's?

Brooky musta liked the adventure to the carpark. Yeah I can't say I like soft sand as much as clay. Yes picked up our other Xr100 while at Frosty's and will put them both up on TM tonight.

He LOVED it!! Lil man can fly literally over some of the bumps. literally had to push him up one part to get him going as Rachel came off in front of him & sand was too deep for him to get traction. On way home he was right up Rachel's rear whilst she was sliding all round the place - he reckons we go too slow for him.
Hope the bikes sell fast - Tawny will be racing ahead of me on her new one.

Yeah Quads go over soft stuff easier ay.
    I hope so, I think I've priced them realistically at 1992,$750. 1988,$700. Hoping to find a KX60(5) for around $1200 to $1500.

I'm sure a KX will come up in your price range. Her & Indy be sharing it?

Yes there will be no problem sharing it. Tawny goes out with me 2x more than when Indy comes out so understands when he comes out he gets to ride it at least as much as her on the day. They're good kids and it won't be an issue. However I'm not sure if the KX60 will be tall enough for Indy. From what I remember of Oldguys KX it was more suitable for Tawny. But he's not quite ready for a KX80 yet.

When you go out for a whole day they don't literally ride all day so i can see the sharing thing can work it was more the height i was thinking about for Indy. He's kinda in between the 2 at the mo is he? He wasn't too bad on the RM, that is slightly shorter than that CR. He could build up the confidence on the KX65 then go from there?

A couple of weeks ago was his first time out on the convict and he took to it like a duck to water. He was sliding around berms and dodging in and out of roots with so much confidence, it was good to watch. I reckon riding a KX65 would make him more confident and quicker, being a lighter and more responsive bike than the XR100. His feet would still be able to touch the ground around tight and steep stuff if he had to. Going taller too soon would probably slow down his progression.
