Question Where can I buy motorcycle accessories in BULK quantities?

I ride alot and also like to maintain my bikes in top order and this got me thinking.....Is there a place where I can for example buy motorbike stuff in bulk ?

say chain lube 10 or 20 cans, Motul 10w40 engine oil, oil filters ?

    any bike maintenance related stuff.

Auckland region would be preferable but even if it isnt I recon it would probably be worth it.

Does anyone have any idea ?

    For chain lube supplies

Buy your kerosene from a supermarket or the warehouse - it's half the price compared to servos and hardware stores.

Rather than spray on chain lube I use chainsaw bar oil.
Cost me $10 for 1 litre at supercheap autos and in almost 12 months I've only used half the bottle.

Get a paintbrush and an a small container and paint it on the chain.
It's much cheaper than buying chain spray.
You use less because it's easier to control.

My chain still looks nearly new.

Is Chain-bar all good to use? doesn't it attract dust and shit like chain spray is designed not to do? And doesn't it damage O-rings?

cool, this means I can change my oil 59 times which makes 295 000km as I change oil every 5000km. This means I will have enough for 3 years

Those 55 gallon drums look remarkably like 44 gallon drums to me

So anyone converting those to litres needs to know which gallons we're talking?

    Ive done the maths...
by the time you pay cartage on the drum and drum deposit you are better off buying 20 liter cubes - I buy PUTOLINE Off road 4 stroke synthetic for
    $86.92+Gst - $5.00 per litre aint bad

    Doesn't seem too.

I've done 8000kms using it and the comment I got from George at motorcycle doctors was that the chain still looked new.

I think a bigger part of it is cleaning with Kerosene.
Old toothbrush, bit of kero, a rag and a good scrub.
The stuff coming off is pretty black to start with.

Chains stay much cleaner using chainsaw bar oil. Even use plain grease will probably do in small quantities, but alternate it with bar oil. We use all three in varying amounts.

Find someone with a commercial account at repco or supercheap, and put together a shopping list, and wander in there and empty some shelves.

For those in a little town (like me) please think twice about what will happen if your friendly little bike shop goes under, and consider again whether you want to save those few dollars.
