With being brought in as a motocross bike heard its a no go Is there a loop hole , a way somehow ? (Hard-case law when someone can build a homemade trike in their backyard and can rego and warrant it.)

Cheers, mate think any thing registrable as long as its warrantable. See quite a few late model Honda CRF 450's on Trade me been made road legal. The stock muffler could be an issue on the 5 hundie.

If you can make it pass a WOF I haven't heard about anything else that should prevent it from being "roadable". Pretty aggressive thing to be riding around town though...
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

If you can get it registered as a motorised wheelbarrow......
Then at least you will have the perfect excuse when the cops pull you for riding on one wheel!

I cant see why not, as someone else said, muffler may be an issue, but youll find an easy way round that one anyway!
Why not, I say do it, something different!! keep us posted with progress. Id suggest going to see the guys at VINZ or VTNZ, as theyre the ones who can VIN it for you, get it vinned and your done!!
you wouldnt need much would you? A speedo setup off a bike with the same size frot wheel, battery and some lights, youll probably get the whole lot off someone wrecking a bike for a couple hundred, then its just a few hours (yeah I know, more than a few!0 of your time and bobs your nana!

    Cheers Guys

    "All sounds" promising

Mates K5 was peppy and real sensitive, as I found out coming off a jump after wheeling past a bunch of modern day four strokers in the carpark. Had to push the bike with bent bars, smashed to bits rear guard back past the carpark to matie

Mines stock and flows like it should, workable controllable power. No snappy powerband.

"Cops" one of those bloated beamers trying to chase a 500 would be a sight

Theres a lighting coil can get to hook up to the magneto. (sits inside the mag cover) can use an electronic type of speedo with magnet pick up.

I remember asking testing station once and they said no go, but yep upto VINZ or VTNZ, will keep you posted, try get some video uploaded if it makes the road.

Did a YZ490 CR 500 on the road was pretty easy . Just had battery to run all the lights which you charged before you went out as all it has to do is make you blinkers go & your tail light/ brake light work & the front light . The lights only have to work when you use them so it doesn't drain the battery much .

Didn't use light coils just hard wired all lights to battery so they had power to them all the time but only used it when you apply the brake etc

Contacted John, Pete. Said he used a KLX 650 front end, kept standard muffler. 10 years ago, so hope things have not changed to much.

    (Will contact VINZ )
