So if a pic of ya bike in snow makes you a hard basted does busting (or pushing) through snow drifts make you legendary - pics here? None of us dropped our bikes either

Should have gone for a look see up the Bossu Road again today but every bugger has his bike in bits.

    Altimarlock

So Zerax and I shot up Altimarlock this morning. I still reckon its an awesome ride and even better with it being all rutted and rocky - real adventure riding that stuff is. Bit of snow up top, bit of a joke about not wanting to break down out here with no food, no water, start raining, dark etc etc THEN whaddaya know - a flat rear tyre on the Africa on my way back down! (&*&&*$@% no tyre levers, no patch kit.... what a noob.

So it was a slow ride home with a very loose tail end - 60km or thereabouts. Lucky the rear was f*cked anyway.

    Cheers, B

There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

Light dusting of snow on Mt Climie (behind Upper Hutt) on Thursday. Getting a bit nippy outside tonight. I suspect this years winter is going to be a cold one. Looking forward to the Brass Monkey!
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

You guys made a thread about me? I'm chuffed guys, but I have to be honest. I've been here for a couple years now and you're only just welcoming me now?
