FYI. Out of hours bike rego in ChCh

Just thought I'd put this up in case someone finds it useful. I had a hell day yesterday, running round trying to get the bloody cage repaired. The upshot of that was by the time I got it sorted and running I had missed the post shops and I needed to get Rego renewed so I could take the bike away over Easter. After running round the postshops at the Palms and Eastgate and the Paper Plus at New Brighton I thought of South City. Bingo. Got there about 7.30pm and the postshop kiosk there was open. Although I hope I had my whole years worth of bad luck yesterday, after everything that could go wrong did go wrong, no way did I want to risk being unregistered and therefore uninsured over easter.

I'm pretty sure you can do it online using a credit card too - not sure how you get on with printing out the rego label but there must be something you can print out to show you have paid it until you can get a label.
