    Am I mad?

Having a midlife crisis maybe but thought I'd like to have a crack at being a passenger on a sidecar. Last time I even rode a bike was when I was in my teens and I don't have a single item of gear ... now I'm a grandad and after two years of watching sidecars at Paeroa half committed to having a go.

Trouble is I don't have any gear Not keen to buy expensive gear for what may prove to be a one-off and I've been outbid 3 times on Trademe trying to buy well loved gear. (I bailed out after the $100 was passed for a jacket and pants - am I being 2 miserable?

Hope to head to Taupo next Saturday, 18th.

Know anyone who has gear that they want to unload, relatively inexpensive? (I'm 85 kg and 178 cm - 5 ft 10)

    Cheers

Yeah do it. Someone will loan you gear and take you for a ride.

$10 will get you 3 laps on a sidecar of your choice.

Tell all your mates that want to have a go, as this is an event not to be missed!!!

For those of you that haven't done it before, PM Enigma51 or Kiwifruit to see what they think of it....... (Mind you, they are hard bastards.....)

Before you make any under taking that calls into question your sanity, ask your self this question...when did you last lose track of time?

One of the first signs of losing sanity is losing track of time....Are you mad?

As long as you do what you need to to stay safe ( as safe as you can be while swinging!) then go for it, the thrill will send you crazy if you wern't already.

Yeah have a go mate, its insane.

Buy, Beg, Borrow or Steal some gear.

Then theres really only two things you have to remember.

Remember to Breathe and "Hang On"!

    Have fun.

Hey if its what you want to do, fill your boots mate and well done. A little bravery is all it takes to create a memory that will last a lifetime.
