I think your bike is an MC02?
    It is indeed an MC02.

My point is is that in no way has the seller tried to represent it as an RVF750 and has mentioned all through the listing that it is a replica project bike. Making silly assumptions based on that... well.

And making an interesting custom bike is great -- the only negative thing you can say is that he didn't finish it before flicking it off.

I suppose this guy is a tard for making a Honda race replica out of an MC02?

You're missing a very big point. At no time does that chap with the RS attempt to misrepresent the donor bike, plus he has made a very interesting, beautifully presented bike.

The VFR trademe listing verges on illegal advertising. He should be mentioning the donor bike by model, not a made up model number, particularly as the silhouette has been so substantially modified. A tasty cafe racer CB250RS is a long way from an advert trying to represent an unfinished bodge job as rare race bike by using a Cruiser model number. He's capitalising on the fact that the official title for the RC30 was VFR750R.

I don't think he has misrepresented it in the slightest. It's listed as a 1991 VFR750, `RVF750' is mentioned nowhere, and he states it's got replica fairings and is a project bike. He says `RC32' which he's either cocked up and meant to say it's an RC30 project bike (project bike as in project bike, a replica, a custom build) or he meant RC36 which is what it is. He states the owner has gone overseas so it's better that the 32 instead of 30 or 36 is attributed to ignorance rather than malice. Either way RC32 is wrong, does it look like a VT800 to you? It's got `VFR750' in the title of the page, `VFR750' in the `Model' box, and `VFR750' as the first word in the listing text.

Anyway I've got a sore throat and I feel shitty so I'll stop arguing about silly crap and get back to spraying the clear-coat layers on my C50... which I might put SS50 decals on just to fuck with people

The official name for the RC30 was VFR750R. He's left the R off the end and is misrepresentinga VFR750L or M as maybe a race homologation bike.

RC32 is a cruiser, not a sportsbike. It doesn't matter what it looks like he's using misleading model numbers to sell an unfinished project. It's not an RC32 project it's an RC36 project.

Even if it is simple assumption he's been stupid. List it as a VFR750FL/RC36 with RC45 fairings and seat unit and he has an interesting project.

I don't know him obviously, so don't take it so personal, but I was using the word tard because he pretty much put ferrari bodywork on a honda civic. I just think its stupid. Hey, I don't know much about them and thought that seeing as the person has also called it an rc32, there was a chance they had written other details down wrong and obviously I didn't know the value of it either. Don't get so pissy about it...

Fibreglass race fairings like those can be picked up quite cheaply. If it indeed were the original RC45 fairings they would be worth quite a lot.

If you ever go through Ashburton by any chance, pop in and visit the Honda shop - they've got two RC45s sitting around in their showroom. No listed price mind, but they might consider offers above $50-75,000
