My DR650 died today.

have been told to day that photos of broken parts have been sent to suzuki wanganui.
i guess they decide next step.

Should they say that they're not liable, don't go down without a fight. I think Suzuki will come to the party on this tho. Like others have said, maybe a faulty tensioner. The DRZ tensioner is prone to failure and I wouldn't expect the design to be much different between DRZ and DR650.

they want the broken parts and a engine oil sample.

they also said its ok, your repairs are covered by the warranty, at no cost to me.

just waiting for one part to come in, and we back togeather.
the main parts have turned up and been fitted to my motor.

as soon as the word warranty is used, most of the time, there is trouble, finger pointing, blame some one else.
its not in my shed yet.. ill be cutting it fine to be ready for the ride anzac.

Anyway glad your steed is being restored - and with a wing and a prayer should be ready for the KCR.

BTW - looking at all of the accounts of the Orongorongo Ride - I'm suddenly feeling my age
