    Removing burnt clothing from exhaust?

I burnt my arm and sleeve against my exhaust header yesterday. I tried wiping it off while it was still hot but made an even bigger mess.

Any ideas on what to use to get it off?

Oh yeah, going up two teeth on the rear of my 250f has really wakened her up. Fuck knows how you guys can ride 450 MXer's on the trails.

It normally just cracks, and falls off as the pipe cools/heats up over a few rides.
    Might leave a mark though.

    look after your arm first.
Infections related to burns can turn nasty.
Try thinners etc, (when the bike is cold).

I have found that if you use a wire wool pad whilst it is hot, it cleans off very nicely and does not leave a mark.

    Stock was 13/48 I went to 13/50.

It pulls my weight so much better now. To clear slight obstacles I can now just blip the throttle in second and the front wheel will lift.

    Rose hip oil?

Nah, it wasn't that severe so it should just fade out. I was surprised no actual fabric from my riding top stuck to me (or are they manufactured that way?)

Anyway I've just been in the garage furiously rubbing the burnt crap off the header with some steel wool and WD40 (thanks YellowDog). I did it cold too. I bet if I had warmed it up I wouldn't be suffering from a severe case of wankers cramp right now.

    Thanks for the advice guys.
