I'd be very surprised if any of us get to the top without arsing off once or twice.

    we need a video camera

I couldnt get a smaller sprocket so I'm going to have to abuse my clutch (and most likely a whole lot of other bits)

Finally find a use for that 13 tooth front sprocket I bought years ago. Chain's going to need 2 links to get the 48 on the back. Dodgy.....

OK, maybe I'm taking this thing a bit seriously.

Slapped a half rooted knobly on the back this afternoon. Drilled the rounded knobs for more traction (might be a wives tale, but I heard somewhere that you can get more life out of a knobly by drilling holes in the knobs). Was tempted to put a full offroad tyre on but the road miles will rip the tred off.

Now geared at 13/48 (standard is 14/48, but I usualy run 14/41 or 15/41).

Might go for a full knob front. I'll see what the weather looks like. The goal is to get up the hill anyway, who cares about coming back down.

If we don't have much luck, we can all have turns ripping up and down the hill on my thing.

BIG tank may be betterer for going up. But in saying that, you still have to be able to steer. You shouldn't have too much problem. Those DR650's have the torque to climb anything.

Today I put a half used 120/90 knobby on the back of the DT and might put a knobby on the front tomorrow. I think I might be able to get a 12T front sprocket (off an older yz125) to fit - so no I don't think you are taking it too seriously

I want to get up that fecking hill............... (I'll bring a tow rope)
