I've got a spare pressure suit type outfit (back/kidney/shoulders/elbows/chest protection) I could bring up the the lake and you could use for the invasion weekend.

And we're only allowed 10 images in a post...... (There'd be a sad faced smiley here but I've run out)
the forecast is okish for tomorrow
"Remaining showers clearing during the morning and becoming fine. Cold southwesterlies tending west or northwest."
so I suppose it comes down to how much water falls from the sky today?
Perhaps Joe could give us an update towards the end of the day?
Tim (Gunna) is bringing his Sherpa on my trailer
I gather from the wohoos that Bart is all go
Michael - are you in or has the Beemer caught your focus?
The front tire on the DT which I changed on Sunday has gone flat
I'm coughing so much a rib I broke a while back is hurting like hell
I feel like shit...(that's what drugs are for)
but we just got to do this thing
10:30 at Toppys?
jeez....it raining hard ...again
It looks like this heavy rain arrived with the southerly front & will clear this evening. The midday rain radar picture is from metservice.co.nz which also has 7 day rain outlooks & 10 day rural forecasts. But basically tomorrow looks good.
I have fitted the Transalp side impact air bags. Shame about the Suzuki yellow colour scheme. They are also multi-purpose as water wings in the stream crossings.![]()

Pouring down and roads and public transport under siege. Aotea Quay is full of sirens and stopped cars. Aside from adding the additional discomfort of requiring wet weather gear be worn while actually struggling up the hill, I don't think it will make any difference whether it rains or not during the ride tomorrow. The ground will be saturated and rivers dirty and high - rain or fine.
At this stage I am not keen (about doing this this weekend).
What good timing to have had the R100RS rego stop come to an end this week! Winter is here.
Signing off now and heading down to the Vespa to brave the rain home (only 3 km!).
Michael
Sh*t doesn't just "happen". There is always an a*sehole involved.
Lovely day in the Hawkes Bay. We even had some sun.
Those rivers go down almost as quick as they rise. A few hours of no rain can make a big difference.
Let me know the go before 8.30am. Mark, I'll PM you my mobile number.
Bart the CNUT nut.
