I've just had a chat with Bart and as my (ex) freind Tim has bailed leaving just Bart and I (unless weve forgotten someone?) we will leave Cnut hill till after the SI Invaison.

I've been cooped up with this damn cold for 2 weeks so I'm determined to go for a ride tomorrow.

If the weather coperates I was thinking of heading up Odlins Rd - there are some nasty muddy side trails that need exploring.

You sounded like shit too Mark. Perhaps you'd better put your feet up and have a nice cup of cocoa.

So Cnut gets to wait for another day. Only adds to the suspense I guess. Will make it all the more satisfying when I finally get up the bastard.

My thoughts exactly. Nice day today but ground is saturated (and no wind to dry it out). Good day for a ride on seal to Martinborough for lunch, which is what I intend to do within an hour or so.
I would think South Island Invasion will be an ideal opportunity to put in place an alternative plan for this hill. One that is flexible enough to be able to react to good or bad weather in the lead up to an opportunity?

    On Sunday 9th Aug

Subject to my brownie point balance being sufficiently high enough with her who must be obeyed and the weather continuing to be this nice - would anyone be interested in a coffee and perv at Toppy's at 10ish on Sunday followed by a look up cnut hill?

    I'd be on the DT230.

rider skills aside...would my tank get up cnut hill? I wanna try it...
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.
