That is what I think too.

In fact now we are on a roll we could go one better and request the option to be able to pay the premium only as you crash - using internet banking on a cellphone!
    Damn - no coverage!

As much as this dilutes Mark's purity (ride up what you rode over) I too plan to bring the little bike over on some other wheels, in Thunderbird 2.2. I can be pretty certain I am not going to make it up even on the Pampera. I bet I bottle out BEFORE losing it.

I'm just about to go prep the stealth bomber which means ummmmmm..........oil the chain I guess. I might go all out and check the tyre pressure as well.

Shit if you guys are trailering, and getting serious, I might have to bring the DRZ.

I would but I'm back in Blen this weekend. Desperate to visit this cnutty hill place! Bringing the XRV back over for the long weekend next weekend and will be fitting my new cylinder sleeves and pistons to downsize it to 599cc... They're magic ones that allow you to keep the same HP with a smaller capacity! Got em free. I'll show ya'll once I'm done.

We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

bring the drz and leave the bland-mobile in the shed

I don't want trailer trash Andy to feel the odd one out so I'll trailer the DT (will leave the car near Toppy's).

Joe was hopefully going to post a weather report early tomorrow morning.

Should be - perhaps viewing is restricted to "friends" or something.

1982 RD350LC (bought in 1985 when I was exactly half my current age - only transport for a number of years - can't believe we went all over the place two up with tank bag and throwover panniers!)
1982 BMW R100CS - as a trusted long term R bike owner I was told to buy it a year ago by the local BMW mechanic, as it needed rescuing - looks cosmetically rough but best running flat twin I have ever owned and complete right down to the OEM tyre pump and locking cable.
    1992 BMW R100RS
    1996 DR350SE - "Merv's" late bro's
2003 Gas Gas Pampera 250 - bought new
    2007 BMW F650GSD (my second)
2007 Vespa GTS250ie bought new and used pretty much every day.

For me personally view five bikes is really the absolute max (less better) and I am a bit embarrassed with seven, but the opportunity with the DR and being "required" to buy the CS put me over at the start of 2009 and I cannot agree with myself which two to sell.

About half the value of the fleet is made up by the two 2007 machines and totals only about what a reasonably fancy Ducati would cost, but when you get over five the work of keeping up on services goes beyond being enjoyable and you don't use them enough to "bond". I should really sell the two R bikes but...........

Still there are people around the world as I write with much tougher decisions to make than what consumer durable to sell - like "where is my next meal coming from?"

Pampera is in the van ready for CNUT - got soaked in a thundery downpour that arrived when it was half in and half out! Still, harsh language sorted that one out. I wonder if we will even get through the streams to the hut (he says hoping he gets a chance to bottle out with honour before we stand facing the Hillary Step!).

bikes all loaded on the trailer and ready to go

given that the forecast is for the day to get better as it goes on should we sleep in a bit and meet at Toppy's a bit later - 10.30 or later still?

Bunch of girls. I'm riding down.

I'd rather keep things a bit earlier, as I'll have a 2 hour ride home. If we actually get to the top of the hill, it looks like a bloody long way out to the coast.

In saying that, I could possibly take the scenic route down to Toppy's.......or get there early. Half a dozen long black's, and I'll bounce up that hill without the bike.

    Good thinking Batman.

1030 is fine by me - could do a bit later if that is what the consensus ends up - but will plan for 1030 as default. However Bart is right - much later and we may regret it at the other end of the day.

Sorry Joe. I'm planning on taking the back roads if it's a late start. Catch you at Toppy's.
