Mounting Cnut Hill - Sat 9/5

Cnut Hill is behind/above Sutherlands Hut

this will be a bitch - a steep long hillclimb with base ball sized rocks.

We need to do this to prove we don't suffer from KTM disease (shriveled pecker syndrome) or the BMW blight (pillow biter syndrome) or the Truimph Tragedy (nothing at all down below)

We'll demonstrate that while we might have very little up top - we are well equipped down below

ride whatever you want - I'll be on the DT230 and still be shitting myself

If we get to the top there is an awesome track to follow out to the coast - then we can either return the way we came or (if Joe gets the key) go out to the coast and ride around to the Lake Ferry pub for sustenance.

There will be a visit or two to Toppys - that goes without saying

    I would strongly recommend....

    Knobbies/rimlocks
    lowered gearing
    body armor/knee pads
    strong religious beliefs

    who's stoopid enough to come?

    Videos stolen from Johny Forsyrthe

Well you know me - always stupid enough to push the envelope!

My schedule is now a regular Saturday free from kiddie duty so I have no excuse but to come do I?!!!!!!!!!!!

I found it pretty darn challenging on the KLX so should be good for another $1000 or so reduction in value on the DR!

    I'M IN MATE!!!!!
    Cheers, Dave

they are the only people likely to want to come.
Isn't Dave's prompt response proof enough?

sorry - the light dawns slowly on this greying head

yes I meant retarded in the derogatory sense not the intellectually disabled sense - possibly a poor choice of phrase

I thought calling the intellectually disabled 'retarded' was regarded as offensive - hence freeing up the term to use for DR riders

perhaps a vigilant mod might revise the heading to avoid causing additional offense....

Cool..I am not offended but I think it is all too easy to use these terms loosley......having a disabled Daughter I tend to have that advocacy trait...enjoy your day

Consider me there. I have a bit of unfinished business with that hill.

Good on ya Paladin. Lets go sort that hill out once and for all.

If you fill your monster tank up, it might help keep the front wheel down.

    kewl

I'm more worried about coming back down it rather than going up it - there are still bits of DT embedded in various banks on that bloody hill and shit stains on various flax bushes from when I flew right off the track
