Damn, missed this event. Just didn't get to ride.

Lucky I was just lottering and stumbled on FlyingCR250 having probs.

I wish the other breakdowns were that easy. 3 wally's ran out of gas and you guessed it, they were right at the furtherest point.
You'd think they would fill up at the start wouldn't ya.

3 of the staff had big offs despite the briefing to ensure they all stay in one piece.

One of them on my bike which now needs (oddly enough) a new throttle cable, head light etc .

One of our riders is in a pretty bad way after a head on with a tree. Broken ribs, punctured lung, broken wrist, whip lash, a absolutely munted collar bone and a suspect spleen.

We all hope he gets well soon as well as the other two whom both have wrist injuries.. Big ups to St John.
If fact we hope the other couple of injured people recover quickly as well.

out of the 6 bikes that passed me you were the only one that stopped to see if i was ok, but got it fixed and the rest of the day went off without a hitch.

    ouch hope hes alright
the reds at the far end after the clear fell were great was great bounceing off the mini hills amongst the trees especialy the cool runnings section lots of big drops was a bit strange at the end though track just disapeared and ended up on a road.
Short farm loop was a blast to great for a bit of a race
Didn't enjoy the endless whoops , but had a great time big thanks to the crew.

Did anyone have a serious attempt at the hill climb ?

Boy, that was a fun ride. Possbily one of my favourite ever! Was sort of like regular sandpit mixed with desert storm. fav bits were some of the faster forest bits and the reds. One-timed all the log crossings, was stoked. Getting much better at handling the new bike, and the tank and newly shaved seat worked great, being able to use my feet a couple times probably saved me from some spills. Also, big ups to people that helped me out when I got stuck ...
Once again, that was just so fun! I haven't been this justifiably tired from a one day ride in a while. Brillo job Tony and the crew! Sux about the injuries though, get well soon fullas.

    Who were those ladies?

Well I just got back from North Shore A&E, JinxyCat broke his leg in five places hitting a tree. They operate tomorrow and will most probably put a rod in to hold the bones together. It was unfortunate, he was running in his brand spanking new bike and it has only about 15 minutes on it. He wants to thank Greg from Spectrum for fanning his face with his glove until the medics came. There were also 2 ladies who were a great help, he'd like to thank them too, whoever they were?
(I think I saw Midget250X talking to one of them)

pass the mudhole up and over the hill and down just before you get to the flats. After about 3 offs (or more) they dragged some dead branches across the path to stop people hitting the hidden roots, deep in the long grass, at speed.

First try on the 170 degree GoProWide and am impressed with the results. You can see so much of the track. It's uploading to Youtube atm...taking bloody ages!!! slow connection. You'll see the area in question on the video.

yeah saw the X-rays, not pretty. Shattered.

Damn, sounds like there was a bit of carnage alright. Did all the main loop, a couple of reds and the farm loop. Was pretty sweet that farm loop, had a bit of everything.

We got stuck in the people mover going back up the drive way on the way out. Tractor saved the day.

Bumped into a few kiwi bikers

All in all it was pretty enjoyable. Nice work ktm boy and team etc.
