    My dream adventure bike

From a practical standpoint, a KTM 950 adventure S would be useful (ready to go, reliable etc).

But really, from a purely personal standpoint of building & riding what I built, something like this would be grand. Already have the frame, need the suspension off the KTM....Would like a donor motor, but realistically have that in the shed as well...

I there was no budget and loads of garaging, I think 3 bikes would be in order:

    1. Adventure Bike
    2. Sports Bike
    3. Cruiser

As for which one of each to get, that would be the fun part getting to test ride and choose.

i would buy a xtz 750 and a tdm 900 and do a motor swap and add some light modern wheels suspension brakes and redo the electrical system.Does that count?

Damn I've just realised how much I love old Bmws & the new HP. They would have to be on the list of bikes to get. What would that desert BM actually be like to ride though? Heavy handling?

I'd have to get an old ten I think too...

GaryW are you coming thru the Sth island at any stage? Just asking....

I'm just waiting to see if the much talked about KTM 690 Adventure arrives and what that looks like! Have some vague notion I might be salivating over it a tad!!!

At the moment the "690 Enduro R" makes me dribble as I love the looks and I can't get my head around owning a big big big bike like the 950 or a 990 or whatever, but I have to say everytime I hear Jezza's 950 tear off, the sounds gives me a hard on!!!!!!!

    Cheers, Dave
