    Knee down?

Hi all, was just wondering the main reason why you try to get your knee down at the track. Do you actually use it like the MotoGP riders to judge your angle before your tires lose traction, or just to look cool? Get a buzz from doing it? Now I'm far from an expert on this without even having a bike or license, which is why I'm asking this question.

That's true. But if you're at a track day you're usually there to 'go fast' instead of 'look cool' as there isn't really anyone watching you that closely.

Anyway, KB needs to implement a sage function so we can comment without bumping threads.

Ah I see. Didn't think about that, as I have said I have no bike or license or basically any road experience.

You need another option "all of the above"

Does it count if you get your knee down while moving but just that split second before you bin? - i was trying to look cool.

i can get my helmet down to and my back. once i got them all down at the same time and did a 180 - now that looked really cool. motogp guys do that to and they stop the whole race sometimes just because of it. now thats ubber cool. also they automatically get more attention than they guys winning the race.

but yes had my knee down in my old corduras by mistake - was trying to see how far i could go just to get my knee down was surprised how much the hornet had to tip. im not a tall fella so cant lean off to much.

Knee down depends on the bike

Rubberband Ducati 900's positively encourage it

But it doesnt work for my bevelhead

Or the "I'm just sick of my knee caps" option?

What, no "Chicks dig it, and scars" option?
