What'd he have to say about it?

Was it, like, different? From the usual? Special, in any way?

Do women acquire mystic erotic powers of, you know, mysticness and stuff, when they become rich and famous, or are they still Just Another Chick (tm)?

I married the girl I fell in love with - Thats was lucky we found each other...

I'm still in love with her, but thats more good management that luck perhaps?

All my kids have managed to grow up - Thats lucky

I have everything I need (very lucky)

I don't have everything I want (also lucky - keeps you motivated)

No one tried to kill me today and I think Vicki is cooking something nice for dinner - Lucky lucky...

I turned on the tap this morning and clean water came out, I could tell because of the light that flowed from the lamp in my kitchen illuminated by reliable electricity. No smog shortened my life and my boss is reasonable. There is a better than even chance the Police will come if I'm in trouble and the Fire Brigade will come if I need them. My wife has had several operations and I have a chronic medical condition yet I'm still alive and easily can get the medication I need...

    I live in NZ

    Bloody LUCKY.....

    LUCKY

I live with a gorgeous lady whose idea it was that I get back into biking again even though she hates the infernal things - probably more luck than I deserve

I'm not good lookin, I have a job thats more like slave labour, depressed most of the time, unfit, normally quite dazed and don't notice my surroundings, haven't got good hearing, the chicks ignore me, etc etc.

    Otherwise, I'm 15 and own a bike

    Thats lucky enough for me

hey I'm with you paul. all the way down to the chronic pain bit. i don't carry that burden.

I still love my native land. Enough to adopt the local custom of tattoos with heritage significance and have the 5 stars on one shoulder and the eureka flag on the other. but i'm in no hurry to return. done nothin' but land on my feet from virtually the time i arrived on these shores.

if you are prepared to work and put in and be reliable, you can kick big goals here.

    I posted this elsewhere

    snip--------->

This time next week - I'll KNOW.

I'll know if Harley have a motorcycle that truly handles.

I've always had a pretty high opinion of the way a FXDX Dyna tips
in, lovely motorcycle, but 'Canyon Carver' at 50 horsepower? It
    really isn't.

You ever see that episode of Seinfeld where he always 'breaks
    even'?
I tell ya' - that's been happening to me soooo much lately.

I'm (figuratively) waving many of my mates goodbye tomorrow as they set off for the South Island's first ever Triumph RAT raid and subsequent week/s lap of the Island. You know, like, one the best tours you can do on a motorcycle - ever!

But work on the magazine, the co-pilot's job and
current visit to the new grandkid in Tassie, plus a 'cashflow'
shortfall the other side of a $3.5k Trophy gearbox blow up -
means we ain't going. Want to - but....well....you get that. If I'm
going to ride to Wellywood then bugger around with the ferry etc -
I want to go for a week or more, so we resolve to do it later in the
    year or whenever we can.

Pretty much over it and Vege - 'esteemed publisher' rings.

Seems my Kiwi Rider Magazine cap and I are going to be guests
of The Motor Company (well, their PR firm) in my native land.

I don't believe my luck, honest. I pick up the new 'Street Rod' in
Albury on the New South Wales / Victorian border next
Wednesday and have it for 2 days 'testing' through the Australian
Alps, Snowy Mountains and across the Great Divide. Spectacular
    country.

I've had a few good runs on the V-rod and always thought if they
    did this to it -
    http://www.harley-davidson.com/en/ho...bmLocale=en_AU
    (click on street rod.)
it would make for a fine motorcycle. I think it will do the business.

Now I know for a fact that the 'Alps' on the 'West island' are poor
cousins to that on NZ's South, soon to be carved up by my
buddies, but what a 'career' opportunity.

You guys will be the second to know.

    ----------> snip

So I was going to make an acceptance speech - but would probably get nominated for 'ego' in the flame warriors voting so i say nada but thank you NZ.

Welli's pretty small. My old flatmate went to school with that guy. Wasn't he a canuck exchange student or something?

Thats really cool Paul. I like that

    Sniper :spudwave:
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
