Had an armed gang chase me and a colleague around Basra in Iraq for over an hour - we managed to escape. A couple of lucky bstards. Alas only I am a KB'er so I guess we don't qualify.

I snogged Melinda Messenger - you probably don't know who she is, but fellow Brits here might.

I've had a bit part in a porn film. Yes, my bit did get filmed.

I'm just about to be sent on a three week tour of Asia and Europe. Once again networking. Woohooo.

And my family and I are in good health.

I'm probably not the luckiest KB'er here, but I'm darned lucky the way I look at things

To the guys out there that know my good self and Ms Biff, next time you meet us ask her. Melinda and her bro' used to hang out with us all in the same club. And before you ask, no, Ms Biff and I were not an item at the time!

Wow. What a great thread. Thanks for a good read guys.

BD - enjoy the ride. I can't wait to hear about the new Harley.

Jimmy - get your shit together and get into motorcycle journalism NOW. You know you've got the talent for it.

And Paul - nice post. Which reminds me. We haven't had a good story in ages. Must be time for another anecdote...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Co-incidentally I was thinking about this yesterday - I work in Disability Claims within an insurance company, so I get to deal with people who have issues. And as far as I can tell, the sicker the people generally are, the nicer people they are - cos they don't care about the small stuff, they're alive, that's all they f***** care about.

And so while reflecting on my own situation in life, I figured there were only two things in life I was unhappy about - my job and the fact that I haven't yet bought an R1. I have a beautiful partner, fantastic daughter, our own house and more than enough money to get by.

My job - well, it's the small things like incompetent management, below average remuneration (for what I do) and the frustration of the precious people I have to deal with - hardly things that I need to lose sleep over.

So when you're left with only those two things to be unhappy about - I think it's fair to say that I've got a pretty damn good life!!

My company sent me on full pay to seaworld, dream world, and a host of other places i would otherwise have never been. (annual conference) Not bad for someone who started with no marketable skills except an ht lic. and no qualifications. On the other hand I resigned today.

Be warned. On the weekend I took my lask $40 to the casino on a whim (never been before and had an hour to kill) turned it into $1000 over two hours (yup missed my meet time for a freind to buy me some drinks). Got too cocky about my black jack system and lost $700 in twenty mins before deciding $300 was enough to leave with. (came home drunk on power)
Took the miss back following night because she had never been and she wanted me to win enough for her to get a dog, after spending the rest of the money on pc games for me and shoes for her. lost the thity dollar stake in 45 mins.

When your on a role excellent but you need to know when to cash out and never take money you can't afford to lose.

The only thing cheap in a casino is the parking!
$8 for a jim black $6 everywhere else!
If You Must Go. Statisticly Black jack is the only game where the players skill has an effect on the odds. Practice before you go and remember you only have to beat the dealer not the table. An asian guy sitting beside me pissed away $3k drawing when he already had 16 or higher. Shit he even drew on 19 and twenty!
