FWIW I ridden a few HD's now and I liked the V Rod (a bit more ground clearance would be nice) could not see the point of the street Rod tho.
But the styling is still a bit out there for me.
As far as the head light and instrument cluster go.

Feel the fear and do it anyway
Don't confuse education with intelligence.
There are alot of highly educated idiots out there.
There's almost too much choice at the moment. The Fat Bob has a waiting list and at $27,000 on the road it's a good five or six grand less than some of the Softails. The telescopic forks on the Softail range are overdue for a revamp. They look skinny next to the Dyna range. Come to think of it, you can get a standard Road King for a little over $27,000 new and that too has had a major overhaul for '09. Bloody bargain!
Street Rod is different to a V-rod though. Sports bike handling and clearances from the 'Street'.
Dig the V-rod too, but it is a 'scritcher'.
BD and the bad posture
I have only ridden the V Rod and was going to ride the Street Rod the next day.
But it got sold while I was test riding the V Rod. (Bugger)
I could not have imagine it handling heaps better, sure the riding position would be better and there has been a up grades in the suspension etc.
Really do wish I got a ride on it now to compare the two.
To me it was trying to turn a Cruiser into a Sports bike and that is why I could not understand them building the Street Rod.

It didn't ride like it. I mean, after all, it had USD forks.
(And brembo brakes and good ground clearance).
Eventually air cooled Eng-gines are going to become emissions non-viable.
I know Buell says they are meeting everything with the Air cooled Thunderstorm at the moment.
He gave me that raised eyebrow thing when I asked "what about the next 'Euro' restrictions?"
They have released one new water cooled model since.
They never name the band after the Bass player.![]()

Sorry, I just hate them. Rode one once, hated it. Would have been better if I was carrying
a polo stick.
A nice Pit
Horses for courses. I rode an R6 once and hated that. Doesn't mean to me that all Yamahas are shit though (though I can't think of a Yamaha road bike I'd want to open my garage to).
Don't you find inline fours boring as shit to ride though? A Triumph triple, Ducati L-twin, Harley or Guzzi V-twin. Much more interesting and involving. Well, I think so.
Fair enough. Don't expect me to wave though...![]()
