    Anyone not working?

I'm currently on leave for 5 weeks... most of my weekends are taken up but have pretty much the next few weeks of week days free... picking up the 'new' bike tomorrow (Africa twin to replace a v-strom) and keen for some rides about the North Island (i'm based in Matamata) if anyone else has some free time and wants to get out on the bike...

Heading to the South Island for a week or so on the 27th as well..

I am in Te Aroha, if you want a tour of Taumarunui and roads beyond!
Will be keen Saturday or Sunday, or even tomorrow but it looks as though you might be dribbling over the new Beastie!
Oh, and weekends are out I see....
If there is anyone heading out for an adventure this weekend, give me a PM..

Sing out when you come down south - there's a very strong Africa Twin owner's club here in Marlborough...all 2 of us! Heaps of opportunity for photo's and high fives in some of the best scenery in NZ.

There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

Yes very happy with bike. Just took it up a farm trail on the Kaimais (4x4 track) with the mrs on the back... much easier to throw around than the v-strom and much more capable. Took it around some trails around Lake Rotoiti on friday and just loved it. Although i'm going back 12 years in technology i'm absolutely loving. Would be great to catch up with some other @ owners and see what mods/accessories have been done. Need a taller screen/extension tho...

Yeah for sure - my screen does a bloody good job at putting the wind right into the helmet - very noisy. Mind you, I've just uncorked the exhaust so ride with plugs now anyway.

Keep in touch and drop a line if / when you come down this way. I've done less than 1000km on mine so far so still learning about the bike. Got a copy of the Haynes manual which is worth every $.

Yeah i think i'm up to about 240 miles on it so far. Got the Haynes manual... very handy indeed, and the local mechanic who is an absolute top guy is a keen ADV rider who used to have one, so a very handy person to know.

Will be down blenhiem ways around the 1/2 May at this stage... will definately drop you a line.

I have a sneaky suspicion that little green machine in that pic is NOT an @, heehee! Who's the other member then?

    Cheers, Dave
