    The farm sparks MX interest

After an awesome weekend up at the farm our 14yr old has finally caught the bug, he wants in on the offroad mayhem. Im a little reluctant to buy him anything too expensive as teenagers change there minds more frequently than their underpants. So, Im looking for a bike to give him that opportunity, obviously KDX, springs to mind, oldschool 125 maybe, but the guts of it is I dont want to spend a whole heap of money for something that may be out of fashion next month. Do you know of anything going a reasonable price. $500-$1200 ish.. chur chur.

mate, you can get something for that. who cares what as long as it goes. I think i paid 250 for my first bike and she was a twin shock xl200 weapon. I set land speed records on that sucker. Shit i was probably a better rider on that than i am on the 450

Those old WR200's were a dam good bike. Dad had one exactly the same as that and it never missed a beat. being a 200 it was a bit more usable than a 125 MX bike. They are a bit heavy though. How tall is he etc??? I had an old IT175 exactly the same as that one. Classic bikes. Mine was for ever fucked though. so many electrical issues..... And a pain with the chain on the wrong side!!
