To every man upon this earth
Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
Which corner are we talking about here BB? There's one about halfway down the main hill of the Little River side where the road drops steeply into the corner, so I guess it's that one. It feels crappy going either way. Some of these roading engineers need their heads reading, they seem to love putting down hill off camber bends in these days- bloody unsettling wether on the bike or in the car. The south side of the Hope Saddle betwixt Nelson and Murchison is a classic example.Originally Posted by Biff Baff

That sounds like the one Tony. I went out there again on Friday. The corner is a right hander while going down hill not far short from the Little River 'straight'.Originally Posted by TonyB

Nope - it's just a really nice ride. Besides, on the spur of the moment I don't know of anywhere else to go around these parts. The hills don't do it for me.Originally Posted by TonyB

Yeah, actually thats not a bad idea, must admit, I don't know of too many short decent rides either. Sometimes I really miss Nelson........
You have to be careful setting up your bike. Now I dont know the guy involved but Im sure someone on here does, and may know the story better.
He was a racer based in Hamilton who was setting up his fireblade for some track time. He took his missus for a ride and on the corners the engine turned out to be making contact. It eventually holed and leaked oil down the fairing and onto the back wheel. They crashed, and I think they were both killed. My guess is he had dropped the triples right down.
Real shame.
