Anyone know how to get there? I have a mate that bought his first trail bike and I was wanting to take him somewhere that we can have some fun and I can teach him a thing or two. We did a trail ride out the back of Levin but he had a huge off coming down a hill so I want to take him somewhere more sedate.

Do I head to the Tangimoana township and I head into the first forest that I see?

I'd seriousely stress that this isn't the greatest place for absolute learners as you really have to be able to nail it over a few big soft dunes... I've seen a few folk up there who just end up riding on the beach and getting on the locals' tits
