Effortless power and a good cheap bike
    +1 I reckon.

The RF900 is great bike for two up - must of been something wrong with your shock

    You're joking right ?
It may look a bit more of a tourer, but it doesn't lack in the performance and handling department, take it from me it will dispatch the RF900 easily enough - my Bandit has seen some 'sportier models' disappearing in the mirrors
    Take one for a ride
But I do like the VFR750's 800's seem good for two up
The GSXF range is a nice bike 2 up and sporty look as well
Honda Blackbird as to be the ultimate 2up bike and sportier than you'll need on the road
Na RF was a great bike, loved it. Just didn't corner as well when pushing it through the twisties. And yeah pretty sure the rear shock was on its last legs as two up was farking terrible!!!

Only problem is timing to go out & test ride them when we have time off together & I won't make a rash decision on a short ride.

Yeah Blackbird could be a goer! Mmmm, good call batman!!

Don't no how partial ya are to the nakeds Boob but if ya do look at the speed triples try an older model over a new one as the Mrs don't enjoy the 06 (grasshopper styles) And i can think of a better time to have her knees up by her ears !
The 03 we have done quite a number of 3 or 5 hour trips and she gets off (lol yep just twigged to that but it aint a harley) feeling great !
But going back to getting off, if ya wanna do ya lady a real favour (and yaself everytime ya stop in a secluded spot) get yaself a big block harley so i'm told !
Had a lady tell me on sat night (she's from whanga incedently) that most ppl just don't understand how orgasmic it is for women on the back of a big block !
Personally i cant see how, but i have felt the odd tightening of thighs on the odd occasion i took women for rides when i had one, ( and here's me thinking it was because i had a single seat and they were sliding on the back gaurd haha how naive)
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

    Thumbs up 1200s

The 1200s bandit I have is a fantastic 2 up bike
But it has been slightly modified to bring out the fun factor - Ohlins front and rear, motors been tweeked a little as well

But are you looking for the image more than the function
Lifes Just one big ride - buckle up or hang on

What about a gsx1400? When I was looking for a bike I had similar criteria to you, and if I could have found the extra money thats what I would have got.

Have you tried one? As I've understood they aren't exactly sluggish. If you want to do longer rides with a pillion I have been told that they at the very least should be considered.

I doubt a modern VFR800 would be heavier to throw around than the zx7 to be honest...

I was wondering how long it would be till the BB got a mention A well set up machine can give you either hours or kms of fun in comfort 2 up or mono. I regularly do a coro loop & can stay with most sporties, do the RNMC Grand Challenge, tour the nth isld in comfort & look forward to doing the sth isld next year. There are many good example's out there for @ $10k or less
I Used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass

Well, obviously, there is nothing more betterer than an RF....

But, yeah, I concur with a Blackbird.

That thing Random has got - GSX1400 with MX bars on it. Holy sweet baby Jesus Tittyfucking Christ on a cracker..... and I believe the pillion seat gets rave reviews.
