A 750cc Duke (in my price bracket) wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding mate.
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Indeed. Shameless it was (and not smelly at all - must have stayed clear of the balls)....

A ride report will indeed be posted. P'rhaps this evening as circustances have contrived (again) to deprive me of a lazy Sunday afternoon lazing on the couch posting on various forums.

    That is a rough deal.

There are Aprillias and Aprillias, some designed to accommodate a pillion, some not. The Futura is one of the former rather than the latter.

Methinks that you guys are all looking between your legs and not asking the lady what she prefers!!
Try a couple out and I am glued to the Supaglide as it is like riding on an aircushion compared to the back of the Sporty 1220S. BUT put me on the front of the sporty and - well different piccie. Also a Woman need to have room to ..... pack. So the add ons such as bags are important also. Colour is optional and a sheepskin is a nice extra!!! worth the thought!!

...and if the power-to-weight ratio should fall slightly short of ones fantasies you can always add a turbo to the mix. Livens things up a bit I've been told...

For longer trips you might want some fairings though. Being out in the wind is refreshing and enjoyable - but one can only do with so much refreshing and enjoyment I'm afraid.

The long-awaited (well, not really. But it makes me feel better) review has arrived.

I assure you, any errors or omissions are my own fault and not the fault of the motorsikkle.

This is another of those impossible quests, and in the unlikely event that a sensible suggestion does actually arise it will promptly be declined for one reason or another.

Sports bikes have not had comfortable pillion perches for some years now, that's waaaaay down the design brief.

I have it on good authority that the Hornet 900 has the most comfortable pillion accommodations of any of the Honda range apart from the specialist tourers. It's to do with the way the pipes dictate the placement of the pegs.

The VFR, however, is another bike rated as pillion friendly, may I suggest that you haul arse down to Energy Honda and ride their demonstrator? Anything more sporty than that is highly unlikely to be pillion friendly. Comfort will end up being somewhere between sitting on some sort of anal floss and a cruicifixion. That won't win her heart...
