Window tinting?

Anyone know where I can get the vinyl that the boi racers use to darken windows. Want to put some on my windshield. Can I buy over the counter or do I have to pay someone to do it for me. Also I understand it comes in varying shades of 'tint.''

Repco used to do it and maybe circles and stripes and yes it comes in different tints depending on where you put it depends on what grade you can legally use

Probably be better off just buying a tinted visor mate. I've seen some helmets back in the states that have had it done like that even profesionaly and it still gets air bubles and looks like crap after a while.

repco still got it.
about 30 bucks for a roll ( was when i got it.)
had 3 different shades.

Damn I read that wrong. Thought he was talking about his helmet. Well still probably better off just buying one pretinted from a shop. Up to you though.

It's interesting that people will complain about the PC government, but then go all PC, or OTT the moment someone takes the mickey without using a smilie.

Tinted windows: A friend of mine's daughter brought a car... and it had tinted wondows... it was an import.... and passed throu the dealers bringing it in etc... then when the next WOF was due and they told her to remove it.. wrong grade of tint...so they had to remove it.. so beware that there are different grades out there. Make sure it will be legal... yep its on the bike... but better to be safe than spending the money and have to remove it.... MOTU could probably answer this.. to which grade is legal in NZ.
