One of the funniest comments she's ever made.

Now I'm admittedly the master of the quick quip in our family but I must admit to being outclassed by Mrs Oakie last night. (I mentioned this in a thread last night but the more I've thought of it today, the cleverer it gets.) I shall share.

Mrs Oakie asked me what she can knit when she finishes the jersey she's working on. I said "you can knit me a willy-warmer". She replied "yeah, I've got a pattern for toddlers gloves. I can just knit a thumb"!

Probably the best one-liner she's come out with in the 30 years I've known her.

I think 27 years of marriage would suggest so.

she was talking 'bout shrinkage wasn't she?
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    I don't get it . Is it humerous ?

The smallest size of knitting needle is around 2mm diameter, US gauge 0 , UK gauge 14 . The size relates of course to the diameter, the length is (almost) irrelevant.

But the size of the needles merely determines how 'fine' the knit will be, it is not related to the size of the finished article.

If I bought her the wool, would she make you a poof?
