He is young as am I, you cant expect him to not make mistakes like this, he is a teenager, I'm sure when you were a teenager you did bad things repetitively. He needs to be educated by the older in years and more wiser (funny that i had a thread about the older blokes). And think of this in a open perspective, be it he didnt obey the law either way getting a $800 fine is a shit experience. Im not saying he is innocent and deserves sympathy, metalor owned up and obviously wasnt proud of what he has done.
Does he have to get mean comments from everyone? after all he did say he doesent care what people say on the internet, but many still persist.
Okay, so for next time, it's actually okay to sit behind a cop, and honestly, it's often the best policy. He could have nailed you for doing 105, on an L plate. Sounds like he cut you some slack...
Realistically, you should expect to get the (deserved) shit that you've gotten. You can get angry about that, or ignore the noise and learn the point. This is a brutally Darwinian activity that you're engaged in. Most of us have been to quite a few funerals over the years. Taking chances on the basics mean the foundation is flawed. Further, a motorcycle is no place for an angry person, they become road kill inevitably.
Finally - your audience on this site range from accountants to ambo's/cops/firefighters/Marines/martial artists/dealers/patch wearing members. You'd be well advised to chill out a bit, there are people on here who wouldn't hesitate to say whatever they wanted in your face. There is enough trouble without going and looking for it.
Its diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; its life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.
You should be pissed off , there are people that go to court for burglery , assault , stealing bikes , stealing cars ,backing over children in their drive, tourists on the wrong side of the road killing NZ citizens , parents putiing their kids in hospital from a beating who all get a less fine than you in many cases and they are actually a real criminal unlike you whos just a bloke who hasnt squared up his paper work in effect , the law is an ass and the punishment seldom fit the crime , you have my sympathies.
perhaps this is why more young motorists than ever are failing to respect or even stop for police
Wow tough talking seems to be the thing around here.So here goes.
You did wrong! both times and so far you haven't learned anything of value.
We've all been where you are and we've all thought the world was against us.
The collective advice from almost everyone here is to suck it up get the bike sorted and get on with life.
But no you threaten to break heads.I'll be available anytime anywhere to let you try if that's seriously what you want to do.
Otherwise my advice is the same as the rest of the members here, get over yourself, get the bike legal and boy if you think riding for 2 years is enough to be competent on a big bike You're way wrong!
Every day above ground is a good day!:
LOL
That's funny also because he isn't bothered with what people say, and yet more hateful rude comments are posted on this thread. So why would a person still post a rude comment to metalor, this somewhat eludes me(note sarcasm). That's pretty self explanatory.
And who gave me the red rep, thats totally uncalled for. In no way was i crying a river for metalor, and i wasnt offending anyone else.
Metalor - I suggest you stop posting, and refrain from making posts like this in the future, save your self the abuse - wether it be deserved or not.
And the rest of you, give him some slack. Ive been there, ive had the pages and pages and pages of you lot calling me a knob, and It doesnt actually help one bit - the last couple of offenses I got, I never made public, didnt get any abuse, less stress and was able to eat some humble pie and pull my head in a lot easier.
Im disqualified and ride on the road. There. that should direct some heat at me. Its cold at the moment
But I have a limited license so

What time were you on the NWern? Did a red maxi-scooter pass you at any stage?
Sorry to hear about your brush with the law, I know it can be hard when you are a student and trying to get enough money together to get a vehicle legal, only to have to spend that money on fines. When I was a uni student my bike was legal, but the poh-leesman said my speed wasn't

$800 - shit that is a big chunk of change for a poor student. That's pretty harsh.
CHeers to the people hwo are being reasonable. I said I KNOW I was taking a risk, I got caught. Was wanting a cheap bigger bike, they can just tag those fines on the end too.
I'm not acting macho at all, I said I FALT like cracking some heads because certain peple on here were being utter pricks. Somehow me saying "hey, this happened to me" qualifies for getting abuse hurled at me. That is awesome. It's not like I was beating up some elderly person or anything, just fucked up whilst not hurting anyone. But no, just abuse.
Cheers.
