Speed cameras should not be a problem for me, because I own a Stealth Bike. Yes, believe it or not Yamaha have cleverly incorporated stealth technology into their Scorpio commuters. Every time I ride past the pole-mounted speed display device on the Appleby Highway in Richmond, it shows my speed at 10kph slower than my speedo.

It seemed ridiculous that my speedo could be that badly out of calibration, so I decided to stop up the road and wait for a car to go by so I could measure my speed against theirs. Sure enough, despite carefully following at an even distance, the car got a display of 81kph and I got 71kph.

Don't be surprised if you hear in the news that the US military is placing a big order for Scorpios.

I hope it's not my leather jacket that's absorbing the radar... I might end up cooked!

I dreamed up a device a few years ago to stop a speed camera from getting your plate..It works like this ..you have 2 small photographic flash guns mounted either side of your number plate at 45 degrees facing in from the plate to the back ...these are attached to a photo slave unit...it will pick up the flash from the camera and will fire your flashes almost instantly.....when they revenue gathering swine check the pics your plate should be whited out by your flashes.
But I havent tried it its only a theory..

Nothing surer than that scumdog, good advice. These New Previas ( toyota vans) cost nearly 3 times the price of a new Mitsibishi as they have used up till now.
I want to know why they are spending so much money on a vehicle that simply sits on the side of the road and generates Huge amounts of money by taking pic's.Surely they can't argue it's for speed, ease of sue or comfort?
Making too much dinero is my guess.

since it makes so much money for them, I dont think they are worried about what they pay for it.

The piglets are trying to set up speed cameras in the cat eyes.
Need a bagged ute to come and pop them off.

I don't get it, I'm not getting raped because I'm not getting fines. I'm not saying the speed limit is correct or that it's too low/high. I'm just wondering why you're being passive aggressive against something that is your own fault if you get fined?!

The "speed camera" was introduced into NZ on the premise that they would ONLY be used in accident black-spots. Since then they have become used as a taxation gathering device.
    ... only if you speed.
