    Acerbis Cyclops headlight

Anyone have one of these or seen them in the flesh?

    Are they good quality?

    Do the provide good lighting?

Do they look tacky (again quality)

Any issues with them? (yes I know the one I have sourced IS road legal etc)

Heres the link to the site for what it is to jog any memories.

    http://www.acerbis.com/p107_headlight/3002.html

Why the fuck do I want it? Well i'm trying to streetfighter the hornet of course. (the single ghey headlight is not staying)

    Cheers

I personally believe that all polls should have that 3rd option.
As for the headlight, I haven't heard of it before now.
    Good luck.

you make your own decision if it looks ok... pict attached

As for light it seems to do a ok job but then one could always do with more light .. but if i wanted lots more light there are far better options but with out the looks...

It's never going to give you the same light as a modern sports bike..

IMHO > If was doing a lot of night riding I would choose somthing with more light....

how do you find the actual quality of the thing? Is it quite cheap or reasonably solid?

Ive got one installed on my R1 Streetfighter and it seems like a nice unit. Haven't been using it for long but so far it meets all my needs...also looks quite nice once you paint it to match your bike

how do you find the lighting at night? I realise it's not going to be anywhere nearly as good as the OEM headlight (which is fucken amazingly good I must say)

Mate had one on a streetfighter. Not bad, for the size of the headlight, it was good, but compared to good headlights, it wasn't brilliant.

Attaches to the forks with rubber straps, that wrap around, so should fit pretty easy.

personally i think they look shit, acerbis stuff is usually good quality as long as you
dont mind mx grade soft plastic stuff strapped to your road bike.
the lights are pretty useless for night time riding and are really only designed for enduro use reguardless of the style.

my choice would be these but with different fork brackets

I have one on my Husaberg FE600 and though the styling is great, it's a bit flimsy and difficult to clean. The mounting system is great - it's just how the lighting nacelle/assembly is joined together that's the problem. On balance I'm happy with it though
