Where the hell did they go?

Its about that time, I am looking around for a new toy, thinking about a cbr600rr, maybe an r6 or an r1. Maybe even a ninja.
My question is, where the fuck are all the cbr's? there are heaps of r6 and r1's around for sale at good prices, and quite a few zx whatevers, but can i find a decent list of cbr 600 0r thous that arent brand new? nup.
why is this, is it cos they are a great bike and people who buy them just dont wanna sell, or is there not many of them around? were not many sold in the first place? anyone care to speculate?

    I know what you mean.

Not that im in any position to buy one right now but looking on trademe for dream upgrades theres a whole lot of r6's and gsxr's but cbr's are practically non existant at the moment.I reckon you might be right about them not wanting to sell them.

Seems the R6 is far more popular than the CBR-6.

Not sure why people go for the 600's anyway.

Yep, know what you mean. A month or more back there were so many VFR400 NC30's for sale that you were spoiled for choice and price. Now that I'm ready to sell my lower km, just serviced, NC30 there are hardly any on there.

I must get it on there quick.

There's probably a whole bunch of VFR400 NC30 owners thinking the same thing and in a week or two there'd be too much choice again.

It appears prices are firming again. And sales are happening.

Being held onto by the owners, presumably? "Honda quality"?

At least we know where the gixer's are... (in a ditch, down a bank, up a tree, etc).

There's lots of R6's? Where? I went looking for a mate and found 2 shakes of F'all, In fact there seems to a little bit of a drought in second hand bikes to me compared to what was about not so long ago.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

if a bit more fragile their attrition rate could be higher, leaving fewer good ones for resale
