Freebies. What did you get?

To all those who have bought a new bike (or an expensive 2nd hand one), what did you manage to wrangle out of the shop as a freebie (or maybe big discount).
My last was a $540 helmet plus got 20% off other gear purchesed (jacket/gloves)

interested to know how generous some shops are when going for a sale.

They supplied and fitted a ventura pack rack/full tank of gas and paid ORC...

Guy I bought the bandit off right then and there, gave me his gloves.
Also gave him 10$ for bus so he didn't have to break all those hundreds.

When i bought the Gn250 from cycle spot Takapuna i received a 50% of voucher for bike gear or accessories.

Supplied and fitted Oxford heated grips, waterproof over gloves and changed the standard tyres for PR2's F.O.C. Always willing to do a deal on anyhting else purchased. A bloody top dealership and would recommend anyone speak to Greg of Greg Boyd Motorcycles (Honda) in Hamilton

Got a pathetic discount on a jacket that meant it ended up being only about 20% more expensive then comparable products from their competitors.

That was after spending 22 grand, Had another grand in the pocket for new gear, Ended up spending it elsewhere.

Now, how did that help the bike shop?, They had plenty of scope for discount on the gear, they had just pocketed a heap of cash, and I would have left the store as their biggest fan, rather then thinking they were tight fisted wankers and holding a grudge for ....uh......well, Its been 11 years now.

For a second hand bike I managed to get a new rear tyre, 6 months rego (it had expired) and free shipping from Chch to Palmie.

Mind you, when we bought our house we got a Mr Hooker bear (woop de do!) and a tape measure...
