Well we are here... Crossed ferry arrived Picton 4-30am Thurs, Motel had lost our booking so they gave us a 4 bedroom house

. Nearly didn't make it to welly..rain from Levin south, dark, had trouble reading road. Had slowed up to about 100-110 round a sweeper just north of Otaki z1000 front wheel let go , bike on its side, meon3 was looking at the seal. I had that gut feeling that we all get at times that this was it. 2 major tank slaps, both feet on road and I saved it...FEW

Stopped down road , had a smoke. A kay down the road front washed again (small one)

Bloody Deisel! Got to Ferry terminal, meon3 got off the back, 4 harley riders watching, her knee gave out and arse over kyte!

Pissed myself hehehehe

In Greymouth tonight at the Revingtons hotel, good place. They even have a lock up for the bike. Town is a bit of a mess, looks like a bulldozer pushed a track through. Poor bastards.

Food festival tomorrow

Loved the ride through Buller Gorge, Z thou goes and handles awesome even with 2 tonne of gear and 2 up. Some riding style adjustment and away we go.

Having a ball, better go coin will run out soon. Will log on next puter we find. Better go have another beer

I spent 3 and a half weeks down there with the misses and the cage. All I could think of was how awesome it would have been to have done it on the bike. Good news though. The misses is considering getting back into riding after long ago being involved in a hit and run and loosing all her confidence. The up side of that will be getting a Fireblade even sooner. Then the next time we are down there, will be on bikes.

Hope all is going well from here on in... off topic, saw a z1000 (orange) this morning with the pipes cut shorter and staggered.. not slash-cut tho... looked cool (sorta like you were sayin, Skunk)

We are home, rode all day yesturday in the pissing rain!

Met Mr plod, SH 73, Jacksons, Arthurs Pass. Overtaking line of cars on straight. Wait for it.........Laser on tripod on side of road.......150kph, $630, 50 demerits! Had been travelling at 110-120 in heavy traffic. Line of cars ...long straight....down 3 gears....bye suckers....oooooops. First words to me were, Does your passenger have a bike licence?, oh shit.

Never mind....should have been walking.

Got pics posing with Plod and me....

Will post some pics one day soon. Loved Sth Island, awesome roads. Will have to do it one up one day. Have to clean bike now...

We left trike at home...only six days and trike gets a little caught up in traffic and way cheaper one bike!

Na I was 1 kph off losing licence......if I had tho I would have rather walked...hehehehe
