Talking Got my full this morning!

    W00t! I am stoked

I showed up early at the Taupo AA, in full bike gear, and wearing a hi-vis vest over the top. Met Grant, the license tester in the area, awesome dude.

The route was short and took less time than my restricted!! We went from the Taupo AA, down the main street, left up Rifle Range road, kept going right to the end, then took a right into a 70 zone, kept going along there until it became a 100 zone. Went along there for a while then pulled into the Taupo rubbish dump. He sat in his car for ages, writing stuff down and then just asked me to sign the temporary license. I asked him how I did and he said "yeah you're fine mate, just going a bit slow at a few points, that's all."

He noticed I'm still on my restricted car license too and said "I'll see ya when you get your full car license, it's easy" so that was a real confidence boost for me too, as I failed my full car license last time I went for it, due to several factors, but one of them was that the tester was a right bitch. So to meet an awesome tester like I did today was a real confidence boost for me.

So, the bike part is over!! I can't afford to upgrade right now, but looking forward to test riding some bikes!

    Cheers all!

    DarkLord.

I dunno... what I would REALLY love is a GSX-R 750, but I can no way afford anything like that at the moment, plus I think it may be a bit too powerful for me right off the bat.

I'm thinking maybe a GSX650F or something? Either way, need to get a freakin' job first!!

    Congrats!!

And like I commented in another "Got my Full License" thread... HOWEVER... don't get complacent about your riding... in the grand scheme of things, even full-license holders have lots to learn!

No doubt. Once I do upgrade to a bigger bike, I only expect the learning curve to get steeper
