My old 86 or 87 or something Suzuki NZ250 had a light for "top gear".

Wish my 2005 Z750S had one. I'm always going for 7th gear.
Measure once, cut twice. Practice makes perfect.

Oh, I'm so glad I can come out of the closet, thought I was the only dope looking for non existent higher gears.

Watching the Aussie V8 supercars on sports the other day... what did i see...

Locked up the back end a couple of times going into slow corners.
If you're doing it right should know what gear you need for each corner (and what gear you're in tapped out at the end of the straight) so it's should be almost impossible to be in the wrong gear.

I'd agree but my bike pulls all the way to the rev limiter. A shift light would be more useful than the tacho for me.

Yeesh! locking up the back wheel a couple of times futzing around changing down into low gears thinking i wasn't there already an going a little to quick made me sit up and take notice a bit more. I can tell where i am in the top gears but 3rd 4th are no mans land for me on the bandit.
