Well, that's it. It's official- I'm getting old!
Why oh why do you want to put neons on your bike?

Why oh why would you do this cruel act to your bike! If you must, go to Dick Smith/Jay Car etc and get a waterproof switch, an inline fuse casing, and a 10/15A fuse (check the light ratings). Please tell me you understand the basics of a eletrical circuit?

OK, Im sorry, I cant bring myself to help you anymore in this project. Please reconsider!

But if the worst comes to the worst, ask dangerous about it. He is the local guru on neons, he might even help you install them.

But i hope you see the light first.

Or you could p/m cheetor and ask him.... he did it to his GSX250............ but I must warn you shortley after he did that, his bike took control of him and it comited suicide (with him on it) and plowd side on into a car at some dumb ass speed in town.

Dont be sorry man. Well its like this, if it wasent for your rev limiter and you twisted it around to 20,000rpm then you would get valve bounce...... were the valves cant possibly go up and down any faster, I'm buggered if I know how the hell your type of 250 can pull those kinda revs anyway.... 19k redline mines 9k so 10k would most likely have it valve bouncing.
NB: engines never used to have rev limiters.... so 1st warning of over reving would be valve bounce..... or if British, a bloody loud bang.
    cheers DD

I think (bit of a noob), you can hear the valve bounce in that movie of the IOM track, he's really pushing that CBR (http://www.firebladezone.com/video/d...1000-Maeda.zip).

Anyway, back on topic... as a fellow Invader owner (while neon does have it's place), please not on your bike.

(OT: You don't work in that restraunt on Manchester St do you, I see a Grey Invader there most nights on the way to the gym, or conversly there's usually one parked in the Harvey Norman car park. :spudwhat: not yours?

Don't actually see many blue ones like mine about)

    Aaron.

Getting valve bounce normally requires some real idiotic skills, 90% of the time you can feel valve float before the inevitable slapping, and back off before it happens...

Neons what a great idea, then you can lower it, cut the spring in the back, lower the front (just undo the top and bottom and take the annoying springs and oil out) and put some apehangers on and some HUGE blundbust pipes. oh oh oh wait, how about making it into a chopper???? Put some chrome footpegs way up front! ANd you could wear a leather vest, maybe some chaps with tassels. Chrome everything you can!

Hang on if you wanna be a poser what are you doing with a sportsbike?

Still, Im 20 and I would never tie on shiny light things to make the ground different colours. You should never do it, it messes with you might and before you know it, you will be sobbing in a corner winging about the lights being blue instead of green

    Neon Is bad!!!
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
