    WTB: VH-VJ Valiant Ranger

Just putting the feelers out if anyone knows of anything.

Looking for a Valiant Ranger as per above title. Decent rolling body with no running gear would be good but I'll have a look at complete cars. The less rust the better, but also the cheaper the better.

Not adverse to a wagon either but no Chargers or Coupes please.

If anybody knows of one sitting in someones shed or backyard, give us a holler. It's telling me I've got to put a location field in so I've grabbed Auckland but will look into anything in the North Island.

    Cheers

    Pm to be sent !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Nah bro . Got the truck, that's all we need.

This is a personal interest. Be nice if LG wanted to throw some cash at it though

Stronger words were used. This was at home (Auck) and it was my Bro in Law's car....he wouldn't move it,so I did.I had 7 brand new 318 pistons....I could of made something out of it....yeah right.

Standard paint on a Ranger must be one of the worst colour choices on any car ever made.

I had a VF with 318 (whose heads I'd had reconditioned) - mounted 2 inches off centre (due to slant-6 engine mounts?).

Sold it to a wrecker for $400 before I went on my O.E. (in 1991).

Three years later was living in same town, and went to same wrecker for Mark IV Cortina bits.

Asked about the Valiant and he remembered it. Mainly because the engine sat on his floor for two years before he begged someone to take it away.
Measure once, cut twice. Practice makes perfect.

The slant 6 and 318 were the best engines in any cars that ever came out of Aust. But of course they weren't Australian engines, they could never do anything that well.
