Lots of waves, but near frostbite!

So ive just got back from a long ride, all around chch/akaroa with a mate then back out to Hororata. Good times. I was stoked to get about 6 waves from fellow bikes, what a friendly buch!

But!! boy has summer gone. Once that sun when down, so did the temp! Next time I go out for a ride I want to take that 'Pink bat' guy from the ad on my back!!

We stopped in at a pub between Lyttelton and the Akaroa rd. Really nice people in there. Stopped for a drink and to try get our temp up above a 3week dead seal. Brrrrrrrr

Overall good ride hanging with a mate but will be thinking hard about extra layers!

We went for a very brief pootle this afternoon ... Parklands thru to Lyttleton, turn left and over the hill to Sumner with a coffee stop at Cafe Metro down by the estuary then home. Pleasant enough in the sun but certainly noticed the temperatire drop for those few minutes in the shade between Lyttleton and the top of the hill.

One waved at me today! Must be new. Obviously hasn't gone through their induction process yet.

Lol, Balu rode from Rangiora to Picton this morning and said it was -1 in Greta Valley when he went through. He's pretty warm blooded and he said even with thermals on he froze. Took him a while to thaw out at the ferry, and kept the "carrot" of a hot bath awaiting him in Paekak to keep him going hahahaha.

Not only when the sun goes down, when in shadow as well. A cup of coffee should have helped the body core temp a bit... surely.
