I've only clocked up 15,000k's in the 10 months I've owned my bike, and here you crazy buggers are talking openly about 1000k's for lunch every second day!
Perhaps once I aquire one of my 4 dream bikes![]()

Fuck worrying about k's on the bike.
It's there to be enjoyed. Ride it, love it. Worry about it later.

Zackerly... if you own a bike because you enjoy riding, ride it.
Re marathon riding- Cliched maybe, but I get into a focused zone which takes my mind of everything else (work). The longer the ride, the more relaxed my mind. And the more tired my body, the better I sleep....the better the holiday.
Going for my 3rd GC in a row this year ( last year was the highest drop out rate to date of riders @ 30 I think ) VERY ADDICTIVE I have found since I first attempted ( & completed just like last year) the GC.... a few months out I start " Training " I spose you could call it ie: night rides long day rides etc,etc more to condition the mind than the body as both need to be on song in order to complete the 24hr mark let only do a sub 20hr time ( best time to date was last year 20hr 40mins then 3-4hr's
then rode home & up for work the next day ) my scooter is set up for this type of riding ( Ohlins suspension, F1 highrise bar, lowered pegs, rider seat, heated grips ) as this is my style , but I also like to dish it out to the sporties around the Coro loop when ever....I'll keep a eye on this thread
I Used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass

Te Anau to Picton via West coast is a nice day, return in a day via east coast is a bit of drag with the towns and traffic. Right around the SI, coast most major sealed roads in a weekend (Leave Chch 4pm friday) is a good run....two up...1980...
