What does the "E" in GN250E mean?

Was the 04 Electric start?Theve been around forever it seems,maybe the earlier ones were just kick-start,are they that old.

Yup 04 was electric, chinese,crappy wheels,and rusted like fuck! I thought it was so cool being my first bike. Of course i soon learnt.

Nope me thinks. I can see the "GN250E" from around 1988.

Whereabouts? Bikebandit suggests the 88 is the J model, which keeps with Suzuki's theme of letters & years from that time, D is 83, F is 85
