Wanted: rear guard for a crf250x

What year have you tried to fit it to?

I have a 04 250x with a 250r rear guard on it it may be a different years guard, But it has not been cut or anything the only difference is no led tail light

are you sure you have a R guard? you can commonly get replacement guards for X's without the tail light hole.

the X guard has a number of square shaped ridges in it up against the airbox region which is the easiest place to see that its different, then the other mounting holes are also different.

in comparison, the R guard of the same year has just a simple rounded shape that buts up to the airbox without accomdation for the battery etc

the R guard i have tried is from an 05, which as far as plastics go are the same bike as an 04.

Im not a 100% sure if mines an r gaurd but was told by my mechanic mate who i brought it off that it was. I didnt realize they made replacement gaurds for the x's with no leds it could possibly be one of them. I thought they were both interchangeble i know they are in the front. Mine is Acerbis branded not genuine honda although that wont make f*ck all difference
